The fantastic New Year’s show will be held at Tampere Hall where the Riku Niemi Orchestra, joined by Finland's leading musicians Laura Voutilainen, Pave Maijanen, Erja Lyytinen and Jorma Kääriäinen, entertain the audience with sunny samba rhythms in the spirit of the Olympic year in Brazil. Also performing are the stand-up comedians Matti Patronen and Toni Jyvälä, BMX riders, and a reggaeton dance group. The show is hosted by Salla Paajanen, Peltsi Peltola and Riku Karvakuono, our furry friend loved by children and adults alike. The show will be broadcast live on Yle TV1.

Frenckell Square is where it’s at! Rap artist Nikke Ankara brings on the party in the city centre. Nikke's songs 'Värifilmi' and 'Rullaa' are currently among the hottest hits in Finland. The event will be hosted by the actor and radio show host Valtteri Lehtinen.
Rap artist Juno and pop singer Janna will also stand up on the stage. This couple got married last summer and they have made a song together called Karkumatkalla.
The Frenckell Square event is free of charge and will be broadcast live on Yle TV1.

The New Year's fireworks at Ratina fill the sky with a medley of sparkling colours. The best spots for viewing the fireworks are in the area between Koskikeskus, Laukontori and Eteläpuisto.
For more information about Finnpark car parks and parking facilities, click here. It is recommended to arrive in good time by foot or by public transport to ensure the best viewing spots and to avoid traffic jams.
Setting off fireworks is allowed from 6 pm on December 31st 2015 until 2 am on January 1st 2016. Please note that it is forbidden to set off fireworks in the city centre. The restricted area is between Kekkosentie - Kalevan puistotie - Viinikankatu - Tampereen valtatie - Jokikatu - Viinikanlahti - Eteläpuisto - Palomäentie - Näkötornintie - Vesilinnankatu – Paasikiventie.
